With great fury like the tides of the ocean deep, we continue our journey through our cosmological evolution on June 28th when Neptune, the mastyr of illusion, begins its annual journey backward.
Neptune’s retrograde is necessary and viral to our yearly development through understanding ourselves in the most spiritual of ways. Even ideas + concepts that we do not know how to put into words but this seemingly subtle energy shift creates a huge ripple within the collective energy field.
Neptune being a trans-dimensional planet allows it’s retrograde to be less visceral thus less easy to spot where it’s showing up unlike the retrogrades of our inner planetary friends Mercury, Venus & Mars. This does not mean, however, that it will not weave its way into the fabric of your life. Just as a singing bowl or synth wave holds a subtle vibratory tone for the rest of the symphony to dance upon, Neptune’s energy is hard to hear until it’s removed altogether.
During this time, your ability to imagine, create and escape to the astral realm will soften & dissolve as physical reality begins to peer through the slowly waning clouds of fantasy thus leaving us face to face with harsh realities and truths that we were otherwise too delusional to face.
For many whose natal chart is dominated by Capricorn, Taurus, Aquarius and Virgo, this shift may feel like you are being put back down on the ground where you belong and you’ll feel more of a grip on your life but even this is an illusion.
You cannot escape the tsunami that rages forth when Neptune wields it’s ethereal scepter and if we keep in mind that everything that exists in our physical reality once began as an imaginative idea, we realize that this retrograde is not about what you seem to be real or not real, but it’s about seeing your life as a mirror and finally having the discernment to wipe that fog off the glass so you can actually SEE.
