On January 18th, just a day after the full moon in Cancer, Uranus ends its 5 month retrograde cycle and stations direct but now enters retroSHADE, the post retrograde shadow period where Uranus must retrace its steps back to the point in the zodiac where it began its retrograde cycle.
The retroshade experience can act as an integrating force that allows you time for the dust to settle and for the energy to get “back on track”. Planets don’t reverse their energy when they are retrograde, it’s just seen from a new perspective. The perspective shift is where the magic happens.
For Uranus, if you count both the pre and post retroshades, Uranus spends about 9 months out of the year in some sort of “retro-movement” so this may not feel like such a jolt but I assure you that once we begin retroshade, unexpected occurrences may propel you forward in unconventional ways but not without a little shock and surprise first.
The best way to use this energy is to stay alert and open. Take a few minutes to reflect back on what has occurred since August of 2021. Where were you more focused on making changes happen versus enjoying what you had in that moment? Where could you be more adaptable and open to change?
Uranus is a transdimensional planet like Chiron, Neptune & Pluto. Where Chiron is the bridge between Saturn & Uranus (the physical dimensions & the non-physical), Uranus acts as a bridge between your healing and your abilities.
Neptune is definitely a much more mystical and dreamy than Uranus and while Neptune’s energy can increase or dissolve your senses and psychic abilities, Uranus’ electrical energy also stimulates psychic abilities but in a different way.
Over the next few months, notice sudden, flashes of insight, new ideas that come out of nowhere, and realizations of self that may catch you by surprise but ultimately lead to the major changes you’ve been so eager to make.
Uranus is currently transiting my 9th house! Which house is it transiting for you?
