On April 26th, at precisely 11:32pm eastern time, the moon in Scorpio will make an exact opposition (180 degree angle) to the Sun in Taurus. We will feel this energy become available to us on Saturday, April 24th and it will really kick in on April 26th at 12:18pm eastern time when the moon enters Scorpio, and it will fade out of reception by April 29th. The effects of the full moon will last until the new moon in Taurus.
Prepare to take a trip to the dark side as we dive deep, beyond the realms of the subconscious mind, into the abyss of the unconscious where we come face to face with “the shadow”.
Carl Jung coined this phrase and the shadow is a culmination of all of the parts of ourselves that we deny or are ashamed of and Pluto’s job is to unearth these hidden relics, bringing them to the surface. Although Pluto is ruthless and destructive, this will ultimately leave you empowered, transformed and healed as Pluto severs all that is no longer serving you.
As with all full moons you expect anxiety, restlessness and hyper-reactivity but this moon is electrically charged by Uranus, the planet of liberation and freedom, infusing you with a strong impulse to create change and make room for something new.
But as the moon prepares to break free of her cocoon, she caged in and held back by Saturn, who is receiving a tense square from the moon at the time of this heavy lunar event.
This full moon is specifically activating the Saturn/Uranus square so on the surface, there will be desires for shocking change and to break free of what’s holding you back with, seemingly, no way to do so. But under the surface, in the shadows, there is a deep, psychological need to heal the shadow self and accept your own darkness, calling for integration at a soul level and the death of the parts of you that are now ready to be reborn.
